If you have to be a fashion designer, why not be one in Hawaii. Roberta Oaks has built a dreamy life for herself living as a professionally trained artist and self taught designer in Honolulu. She entered the fashion scene in 2004 and has grown her business from showing her one-of-a-kind pieces at local art festivals to a global company available in over 150 stores. Her story is inspiring, but that's not all! This rising star also supports eco-friendly business practices and uses organic materials as often as possible. The Sal Knit Dress is an adorable frock made of bamboo and organic cotton. The red piping along the bust and straps gives it an extra kick and the gathered empire waist creates a playful drape that falls just above the knee. Layer the dress with a long sleeve t-shirt, a simple cardigan and a pair of fun tights to carry it into fall. It's a crisp look that will be all the rage on campus. Scroll down and check out the little peek-a-boo opening at the back.

Outfit of the Day!

This outfit makes a strong statement by mixing simple and casual clothing with bold accessories. Two's Company is a fun costume jewelry line that offers all the hot runway looks at affordable prices. The black bangle bracelet with the chain detailing is a similar design to those being shown by Chanel. At $35, it's a steal! New jewelry and accessories are a great way to breathe new life into your existing wardrobe. So if your budget is tight and a new outfit is out of reach, then the next best thing is to accessorize - at these prices everything old is suddenly new again! However, a new outfit may not be so far out of reach - each piece in this outfit is under $100. We love the loose drape of the top by Maj. It's bold color, ballet neckline and dolman sleeves create a dramatic silhouette. The leggings by Sanctuary Clothing have simple button details at the ankles and are a fun way to dress up a wardrobe basic.

This look features: Maj Poncho Top, $95. Sanctuary Clothing Ponte Leggings, $88. Two's Company Bracelet, $35 and Necklace, $16. Big Buddha Soho Handbag, $85.

Outfit of the Day!

Since recently setting sail aboard a Mexican Cruise, let's stay on the Atlantic side and dock for the day at the Port of Cancun. While there, slip into Yoana Barashi's Suzani print maxi dress. What better way to spend the day strolling its beaches and searching for the perfect souvenir in its main marketplace. While out and about, pair the dress with a pair of metallic flat sandals, a light sweater and a wide-brimmed sun hat. And when back on board, this dress is certainly charming enough for the Captain's dinner with it's ethnic and floral pattern, creamy stitching and daisy detailing at the bust and along the back of the straps. Just slip into dressier sandals and wooden bangles to complete the look. Simple accessories along with the golden tan achieved yesterday while at sea are all you need to pull off that "relaxed, I'm on a cruise" look.

This look features: Yoana Barashi Suzani Gypsy Lounge Dress, $305. Efy Tal flower necklace with rhinestone, $92.

Outfit of the Day!

Late summer and early fall brings pretty spectacular weather to the Bay Area. Even with our amazing Indian summer some of us can't help but dream of tropical vacations and Mexican cruises. If such a trip is in your future, may we suggest a slight deviation from typical resort wear. Maj, a new collection that we are carrying this fall, is known for mixing urban chic and downtown cool with uptown vibes. This exciting up and coming line has created trendy pieces that are soft and easy to wear. The tank dress can easily go from a morning stroll along the deck to afternoon umbrella drinks by the pool, or wear it while with espadrilles and a sun hat while shopping in Cozumel. Unless your cruising with Hollywood's jet set, we doubt that many others will be wearing Maj.

This look features: Maj dress with tank, $145. Rachel Eva gold link necklace, $89.

Outfit of the Day!

Fashion trends will change each season, but when you can create intrigue both coming and going, well that's a bit of magic we hope will last. Maybe you've got that je ne sais quoi or perhaps it's simply the dress you're wearing. Either way, one highly anticipated trend for fall can be found in designs that are as striking from behind as they are from the front. Parker has caught on and presents a stunning interpretation of this exciting look. The wood grain pattern, bateau neckline and soft drape will make an impression as you enter a room, then as you turn to leave, the cut-out back maximizes the impact this dress will have on an unsuspecting crowd.

This look features: Parker Wood Grain Dress, 100% silk, $195.
