Established in 1995, Classic Hardware has quickly become the standard in unique accessories for men and women. Mixing vintage vogue with today's hottest trends, Karyn Cantor's cutting edge jewelry designs balance clean lines and rugged construction to create a style that is Fun, Funky and Functional.

Classic Hardware's avant-garde accessories have been featured in a variety of national publications, including Seventeen, Teen Vogue, BUST, Siempre Mujer, Budget Living, In Touch, Teen People, Teen and YM magazine and in the Uncommon Goods and Flax catalogs, as well as The San Francisco Chronicle, TIME, The New York Times Magazine and Time Out Chicago.

Classic Hardware jewelry has also been styled for various TV shows including Bones, Nip Tuck, Roller Girls, The Chris Isaak Show, Sex in the City, Friends, News Radio and Caroline in the City. Karyn Cantor is the originator and driving force behind Classic Hardware and has designed every handcrafted piece. Her love of fashion from the 1920's through the 1950's, mixed with a strong post-industrial aesthetic, has developed into a line of accessories that reflect today's sense of individuality.

A little bit about one of our favorite brands:

We have used sustainable and organic fabrics in every collection we have produced beginning with Summer of 2005. While it has always been a part of our business ethic to incorporate these materials we have shied away from describing ourselves exclusively as an eco line because that only describes a part of our business. We want to be a populist line so matters of accessibility, economy, domestic production and style are all a part of our design philosophy. We are also designers with an idiosyncratic point of view, obsessive about fit and how our end user will wear our clothes every day. We want to make non-conformist uniforms for cool working women.


We produce and ship every item in the collection, none of the clothing we show is for editorial only and all styles are available in stores, even if that means cutting 20 pieces. This business supports us entirely, and is helping to keep active a diminishing network of sewing contractors in Seattle. All of our production is subcontracted to local sew shops and the majority of our fabric is knitted in the United States.

Lily & Jae

In 2006, while working in wardrobe for film and TV, Jude Feller visited local boutiques in search of detail-oriented, casual clothes that were both functional and attractive, and came up empty-handed.

Never one to shy away from challenge, the self-described tomboy left her job and set out to create quality pieces that she would want to wear. The result? lily + jae, a line of young women’s contemporary street wear designed for the prototypical girl next door: energetic, innocent, and playful. 2 and a half years later, lily + jae has become known for soft hoodies, flirty dresses, flattering coats, and expertly tailored high-waisted trousers. Our line is independently designed and manufactured in Vancouver.

Lily and jae celebrates our fourth season of production and the response has been overwhelmingly positive to date. Adored by women across the world, our clothes have been seen on stars such as Lily Allen, Amy Smart, Ashlee Simpson, and Sarah Polley to name a few. We can't wait to see where we go next.

Best Invention Ever!

It has been featured on Oprah, in People Magazine & Entertainment Tonight among others - what more can I say? These tanks are the best thing ever. They smooth out that problematic middle section that we are all working on trying to eliminate, but at the same time is totally invisible. Wear it like a regular cami under anything because the top & bottom panels are basic cotton & totally normal looking. No one will know... AMAZING!!
