The Weather is Gross, Let's Travel....

It says skies are clear in Malibu right now. The Malibu Lemon Blossom scent has a blend of lemony Litsea Cubeba, flowering Angel's Trumpet, fresh herbs & salty sea breezes. Wish I could be there instead.

The weather in France is similar to Northern California right now. Cloudy, windy, rainy & cold - but we don't have the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre. This French Lilac is a blend of lilac, magnolia leaves, heliotrope, ylang ylang, hyacinth & subtle notes of nectarine. I'll just pretend those twinkling lights are the Eiffel Tower.

The weather report for Brazil says it is raining & in the 90s! If I had 90 degree weather in this rain, I'd be in heaven. I'll just light this candle instead. With a cross between peach and apricot with pineapple undertones this delicious blend mingles sultry, fleshy Mango with bright, tart grapefruit. It is reminiscent of summer & makes me yearn for warmer days.
I spent a part of my honeymoon in Tuscany & have been dreaming every day of going back. I want to eat pizza in the plaza every day, stomp grapes & eat blood oranges. In this delectable blend, juicy and spicy Blood Orange is offset with subtle Strawberry and Raspberry notes and grounded in fleshy Mandarin and Italian Sweet Orange. An orange connoisseur's dream.

It was 89 degrees in Tahiti today. It was in the 50s here, and pouring rain all day. This heady, vintage-inspired blend showcases the sacred Gardenia bloom, a symbol of love, unity, grace and strength. It's sweet, smooth and slightly citrusy aroma is reminiscent of Jasmine, Sweet Orange and Tea Leaves. So much better than rain...

Gift Ideas Part 1 - Stocking Stuffers

Scottie Dog candles? I know so many dog lovers that will put these on display & never light them because they'll love them so much.

Crystallized business card holder. Or, use it to hold ID, credit cards & a little cash for an evening out.
This is the best nail polish I have come across. Besides the obvious needs from a nail polish (ie: won't chip, etc) this stuff is actually Vegan & safe for pregnant women to use. Shouldn't everything be safe regardless of whether or not your preggers? Oh well, either way - the stuff is great.
These little soy candles burn for 18 hours & it is tiny! Cute, smells yummy & perfect stocking size.
Around here we love anything pink. Even better when it smells delicious.

Thanksgiving Housewarming Gift

Normally I'm not one to like things to smell like food, unless it is my food. I don't want my shower gel to smell like cupcakes or my lotion to smell like chocolate, but let me tell you - this candle is amazing. The folks at Pacifica have managed to make an amazingly delicious smelling Caribbean Sugar Pumpkin Candle that is perfect for Thanksgiving. Every year we go to mom's house for Thanksgiving & I try to bring a little something for her, since she does all the cooking & the hosting & everything else. I do the dishes of course, but I don't like to come empty handed.
This is what I'm bringing this year, with the matches too of course! How cute are those?!?

Guy Gift Ideas

I have a lot of customers that struggle with buying gifts for guys. I know how it is, men are tough. There are only so many ties & wallets you can buy for a guy.
Don't stress, I have your answer:

The Guy Friend:
Seriously, what guy couldn't use a flask?

The Boyfriend/Husband:

What says "honey we need a romantic getaway" better than a travel case?

The Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Co-Worker:
Photo albums can be 'girlie', but one with a vintage camera on the cover is definately super 'manly'.

The Boss Man:
Like photo albums, candles can be 'girlie'. But not this one. Give it to the boss. He'll put it on his desk & never take it home because it looks good & smells good. He'll be constantly reminded of you & your thoughtful gift. Maybe you'll even get a raise!Dad:
This leather valet is the perfect catch-all for coins, wallet, cell phone & all that extra stuff that he empties out of his pockets at the end of the day.

Mom Gifts

Sometimes I have a hard time shopping for my mom. She has everything she needs, and when she wants something, she goes and gets it. So what do I get for her?
I have had these candles by Archipelago for a while now. I think they are pretty, they are really popular with my customers and they smell great. I realized today that my mom keeps going over to the display & picking them up, smelling them, looking at the different designs & putting them back. Hello!?!? She obviously wants one & hasn't decided to get one, or decided on a scent. So this something that I can get mom for Christmas. Something she doesn't have, I know she wants, and hasn't bought for herself. Yay!
And - even better, that pretty jewel on the top - it's a removable brooch! So it is a 2 in 1.
love it!
